Mediation is a confidential, voluntary process led by a neutral third party who helps people in conflict reach their own agreement - without escalating to court.
It allows all parties to be heard, explore options, and find workable solutions, even when emotions or power imbalances are high.
At Clause Zero, we provide a structured, impartial, and confidential space to resolve disputes while protecting relationships, reputations, and long-term value.
This approach is especially suited to situations where money, control, or trust are at risk- but there’s still a willingness to move forward constructively.
• Shareholder disputes - including deadlock, dilution, and payout disagreements.
• Boardroom or C-suite breakdowns - strategy clashes, leadership exits, or loss of trust.
• Disputes between business partners, including post-exit fallout
• Workplace and HR conflict - founder/employee tension, senior-level friction, or team dysfunction.
• Cross-border or HQ–local misunderstandings - values, roles, reporting, or control.
• Divorce or separation also involving business, financial, or asset complexity.
• Family business disputes over ownership, decision-making, or generational transition.
• Inheritance, estate, or trust-related conflicts.
• Co-ownership disagreements - property or jointly held ventures.
• Conflict in small teams or startup co-founding relationships.
Mediation is typically conducted in sessions of 4 to 8 hours, depending on the complexity of the dispute and the number of people involved. Some matters are resolved in a single session, while others may require a series of meetings.
Sessions can take place online or in person, depending on the preferences and locations of the parties. In some cases, everyone may be in the same room for parts of the process. In others—where tension, past dynamics, or emotional pressure may hinder resolution—the parties may never meet, with the mediator facilitating communication in separate meetings throughout.
All sessions are confidential, and designed to create the conditions for focused, meaningful progress—whether toward full resolution or a more constructive next step.
Clause Zero works in partnership with ADR ODR International, a globally recognised provider of mediation and dispute resolution services. Where needed - due to complexity, a potential conflict of interest, or party preference - we can appoint another Accredited Mediator from ADR ODR’s panel to ensure neutrality, fit, and the highest standard of process.
Because mediation isn’t just about dividing what’s on the table.
It’s about expanding it.
A mediator helps parties move beyond fixed positions and zero-sum thinking.
Through structured dialogue, trade-offs become possible - each side can let go of what matters less to gain what truly matters.
This approach reflects the principle of expanding the pie: uncovering value that wasn’t visible when the conversation was stuck in blame, fear, or silence.
Mediation creates the conditions for that shift.
It offers a neutral, confidential space where clarity replaces escalation, and forward movement becomes possible.
“We were separating after years of building a life together — a family, a home, and a business. As expats with children and a shared company, we felt unprepared to face both the emotional and practical challenges. The mediation sessions with Veronica helped us pause, regain clarity, and move forward without destroying what we had built. She created the space for calm communication and thoughtful decisions, even as we let go of so much. We didn’t want a legal battle. Thanks to the process, we reached a fair agreement and brought it to the judge together. It wasn’t easy, but we’re both grateful to have closed this chapter with mutual respect.”
